No rain expected in Karachi for the next week, says met office

Friday saw partly cloudy and clear skies, with stronger-than-usual south-westerly winds blowing at 36 km/h

KARACHI:

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted no rain for Karachi in the coming week.

According to the Met Office, Friday saw partly cloudy and clear skies, with stronger-than-usual south-westerly winds blowing at 36 km/h (20 nautical miles).

The maximum temperature recorded during the day was 31.8°C.

The Early Warning Centre of the Met Office predicts similar conditions for the next three days, with partly cloudy to clear skies.

"Winds from the sea may continue at intervals, and maximum temperatures are expected to range between 31°C and 33°C during this period," the forecast stated.

The department confirmed there is no chance of rain for at least the next seven days.
