Two female students died while 10 others suffered injuries when the roof of an under-construction madrasa on Dhenda Road collapsed.
The bodies and the injured were taken to Haripur Trauma Centre. A committee has been formed to investigate the cause of the roof collapse.
Rescue officials reported that the third-floor roof of the madrasa in New Model Town collapsed late Sunday night. Upon receiving the information, a medical and disaster management team, led by District Emergency Officer Rafiullah Marwat, rushed to the scene and began the rescue operation.
Several Rescue 1122 teams from Haripur, Abbottabad, Kohistan, and Mansehra, along with local authorities, worked together to retrieve the injured students trapped under the debris. Sadly, two studentsUzma Bibi from Amazai and Aqsa Bibilost their lives in the incident.
The injured students hailed from Nara, Haveliyan, Dhenda, and Kanikot, and they were taken to the Haripur Trauma Centre for treatment.
