Following the release of 'Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions', Warner Bros. Discovery's CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels has confirmed that a sequel to the massively successful 'Hogwarts Legacy' is a high priority for the company.
While 'Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League' didn't meet expectations, Wiedenfels reiterated that the gaming division remains a strategic asset. He also pointed out the significant growth potential a 'Hogwarts Legacy' successor holds.
This news comes on the heels of the release of 'Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions,' a game focused on the popular sport from the wizarding world. Unlike 'Hogwarts Legacy,' which followed new characters, 'Quidditch Champions' features familiar faces like Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
'Hogwarts Legacy' was a massive success, selling over 22 million copies and racking up over 700 million hours played. Its popularity suggests a sequel could be equally successful, further solidifying the gaming division's importance for Warner Bros. Discovery.
