PCB unveils Champions One-Day Cup schedule

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the schedule for the Champions One-Day Cup, a premier 50-over tournament that will showcase the country’s top 150 cricketers.

Set to take place at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad from September 12 to 29, 2024, the tournament will feature five competitive teams: Dolphins, Lions, Panthers, Stallions, and Wolves.

The action will kick off with the opening match between the Wolves and Panthers on September 12, promising an exciting start to the competition. The tournament will follow a single-league format, with each match scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM local time, with one notable exception.

On September 16, the Lions and Panthers will face off in a morning match starting at 9:30 AM, allowing fans to catch the live broadcast of the Pakistan women's team’s T20I against South Africa later that day.

In an exciting addition, the PCB has announced that each team will be guided by a champion mentor, with the team names and 15-player squads expected to be revealed in the coming days.

The tournament will culminate in a series of three playoffs, held over four days, leading to the final on Sunday, September 29, 2024.
