Absence of defence counsel irks court
An accountability court gave last chance to the counsel for PTI founder Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi for cross-examining the last witness in the 190 million pounds reference and adjourned the hearing till August 29.
The supporting lawyers requested the court to postpone the hearing till September 3 but the court refused the request and gave last chance to the defence counsel to complete the cross-examination of the prosecution's last witness.
The court expressed annoyance over absence of lead defence counsel as it was the 10th time the cross-examination could not be completed.
