ISLAMABAD:

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday instructed the Ministry of Information Technology and other relevant departments to implement the e-office system in all government offices.

He emphasised the importance of transitioning to a paperless work environment within the next month and warned that any delays would not be tolerated.

“There should be no file work conducted without the e-office system starting next month,” the PM stated. He highlighted that the e-office implementation is a top priority for increasing transparency and efficiency within the government.

All government officers are required to ensure that file work is conducted through the e-office system. Following the PM's directive, the staff at the PM Office has already completed their e-office training, according to a notification.

PM Shehbaz described the e-office initiative as a significant step towards enhancing governance and promoting digitisation in the country. He also directed that a progress report on the e-office implementation be presented within the next two weeks.
