Rosie O’Donnell and Ana Navarro criticize Ann Coulter for mocking Tim Walz’s son at the DNC

Rosie O’Donnell and Ana Navarro have condemned Ann Coulter for her insensitive remarks about Tim Walz’s son, Gus.

Past and present hosts of ABC’s The View united in their criticism of conservative commentator Ann Coulter, who mocked the 17-year-old son of vice presidential candidate Tim Walz. Gus Walz, who has a non-verbal learning disorder, went viral for his tearful reactions during his father’s speech at the Democratic National Convention (DNC). Coulter, in a since-deleted post on X (formerly Twitter), made a disparaging comment about Gus, writing, “Talk about weird.”

Ana Navarro, a current host on The View, responded strongly on Instagram, posting Coulter’s deleted comment and stating, “Jesus. What ass-wipes. Of course Republicans and Trumpers on social media taking shots at Gus Walz. You have to be a special kind of heartless mutant to attack a 17-year-old special needs kid.” Navarro emphasized that Gus, who is neurodivergent, should be off-limits, drawing a parallel to her refusal to criticize Barron Trump, son of former President Donald Trump.

Rosie O'Donnell, a former host of The View, also condemned Coulter's remarks, calling her a “cruel heartless woman” and labeling her “the worst.” Star Jones, another former co-host, joined the chorus of criticism, adding, “There is a special place in Hell for adults who bully children.”

During his DNC speech, Walz expressed his deep love for his family, saying, “Hope, Gus and Gwen, you are my entire world and I love you.”
