Police allegedly destroy video evidence of robbery

Shopkeeper claims that their request for police to use the footage to identify and arrest the robbers was ignored.

Police have allegedly destroyed video evidence of a brazen robbery at a milk shop in Gulshan Iqbal, Block 13D2.

As per details, the shopkeeper reported the robbery to police, who took the DVR for review. However, the DVR was later returned to the shopkeeper with the footage erased and reset.

The shopkeeper claims that their request for police to use the footage to identify and arrest the robbers was ignored.

The video footage obtained by The Express Tribune shows eight suspected robbers on four motorcycles pulling up outside Nagori Milk Shop in Gulshan Iqbal, Block 13D2. Four of them enter the shop, while the remaining stay outside to keep watch. After overpowering the shopkeepers, the robbers flee the scene with Rs1 million.
