Netflix drops thrilling teaser for 'Squid Game' season 2, Gi-hun returns for revenge

Netflix has unveiled the first teaser for the highly-awaited second season of its global phenomenon, "Squid Game," and it's sending chills down fans' spines. The 30-second clip features a series of anonymous players in their signature green tracksuits, culminating in the dramatic reveal of Lee Jung-jae reprising his role as Seong Gi-hun, the sole survivor from the first season's deadly games.

Set three years after his victory, Gi-hun is back with a vengeance, diving headfirst into the mysterious and brutal competition once again. The new season promises a darker and more intense journey as Gi-hun seeks revenge, fueled by a renewed resolve.
 


Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has hinted at a transformed Gi-hun, a man driven by a thirst for retribution. The first season made history with its Emmy wins, including Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series for Dong-hyuk and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Jung-jae. It also became Netflix's most-watched series ever, amassing a staggering 1.65 billion views in its first 28 days.

With Season 2 slated to premiere on December 26th, and a third and final season confirmed for 2025, the stakes have never been higher in the deadly game of Squid Game. The world is eagerly awaiting the return of this gripping survival drama, bracing for another round of heart-stopping suspense and shocking twists.
