Rumors of iShowSpeed's return to Twitch circulate after YouTube ban
Rumors have been circulating about the possible return of popular streamer iShowSpeed to Twitch following his recent ban from YouTube. The 18-year-old content creator, known for his high-energy antics and daring stunts, was banned from YouTube on August 6 after a video of him jumping over two speeding cars went viral, leading to concerns about the dangerous nature of the act. YouTube cited a violation of community guidelines as the reason for the two-week ban, during which iShowSpeed is expected to be "recharging."
On August 8, speculation about his potential move to Twitch intensified when his cameraman, Slipz, responded to a post on X (formerly Twitter) suggesting iShowSpeed might return to the platform. Slipz commented, "ATP, it won’t hurt," which quickly fueled rumors. However, Slipz later clarified the situation by questioning the source of these claims, stating, "Where does this claim Speed is considering a move to Twitch?" This response has cast doubt on the likelihood of iShowSpeed returning to Twitch.
iShowSpeed, who has amassed 27.7 million subscribers on YouTube and was the platform's top gaming channel in July, originally gained fame on Twitch before transitioning to YouTube, where his audience has grown significantly. Despite the recent ban, iShowSpeed's primary fanbase remains on YouTube, making a switch back to Twitch seem improbable.
While the rumors of his return to Twitch have captured the attention of fans, there has been no official confirmation from iShowSpeed himself. As of now, his future plans remain uncertain, and it is unclear whether he will make any significant platform changes following his YouTube ban.
