Beabadoobee has released her highly anticipated third studio album, This Is How Tomorrow Moves, marking a significant evolution in her musical journey.
Following the success of her previous releases, 2022’s Beatopia and 2020’s Fake It Flowers, the new album sees the indie rock artist refining her sound while retaining the essence of her earlier work.
Produced by Rick Rubin and penned by Beabadoobee, the album features fourteen tracks, including singles “Ever Seen,” “Take A Bite,” “Coming Home,” and “Beaches.” The record reflects a blend of the grunge sound of Fake It Flowers and the dreamy qualities of Beatopia, with added folk and bossa nova influences.
Beabadoobee commented, “I feel like it’s helped me so much more than anything else has in navigating this new era, this new understanding of where I’m at. I guess it’s about becoming a woman.”
Prior to the album's release, Beabadoobee also contributed a cover of Ella Fitzgerald’s “It’s Only A Paper Moon” to the soundtrack of the Apple TV series The New Look. Additionally, she collaborated with pop-jazz singer Laufey on the single “A Night To Remember” in late 2023.
