City braces for heavy rainfall

Today is the 21st day of the traditional month of Sawan, the rainy month, so it is not surprising if the weatherman says it is going to rain.

Per Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the monsoon winds from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea continue to affect Sindh. There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunderstorm in the metropolis.

On Sunday, light to moderate rain left various roads swamped in the city, causing severe problems for the citizens.

Many bikers were seen pushing their two-wheelers, which conked out in water. To make things worse, power supply was disrupted in several areas, affecting more than 300 feeders. Additionally, there was severe traffic congestion on various roads.

Maximum temperature was 33.3°C with a humidity level of 76 percent. During the early hours, light rain and drizzle occurred in some areas. In Keamari Town, four millimeters of rain was recorded, while one mm was recorded on Sharea Faisal.
