Breakout country music star Megan Moroney is finally addressing the rumors about her relationship with Morgan Wallen. In a candid interview on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, Moroney confirmed that she and Wallen were never exclusive and are now just friends.
"I have so tried to avoid [this] in every single interview I've ever done," Moroney admitted. "We’re here now, and time has passed, and all is well."
Moroney revealed that she met Wallen in 2020 and they were "not just friends" for a time, but "never officially dating." She emphasized that Wallen is a "very private person" and that's why she's been hesitant to discuss their past.
While Moroney wouldn't confirm if her hit song "Tennessee Orange" is about Wallen, she did share details about other relationship drama that has inspired her music. She recounted a situation where she unknowingly dated a man who had a girlfriend, even bringing him to a family wedding.
Moroney also hinted at a recent "fresh out the slammer situation" that she's turning into a song. She texted her manager, saying, "We’re going to get a good song out of this. Also, make me a therapy appointment for tomorrow."
