Jonathan Majors, who was originally cast as the Marvel villain Kang the Conqueror, expressed his disappointment after being replaced by Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom in the upcoming Avengers films.

In an interview with TMZ, Majors admitted he felt "heartbroken" and "loved Kang." He also expressed his desire to reprise the role, stating, "If that's what the fans want, if that's what Marvel wants, let's roll."

Majors was dropped by Marvel following his conviction for assault and harassment of his ex-girlfriend in December 2023. He received a sentence of a 52-week domestic violence intervention program and could face jail time if he fails to complete it.

During the interview, Majors noted that other actors like Downey Jr. and Ezra Miller, who have also faced legal issues, were given opportunities to continue their careers. He questioned why he didn't receive the same "patience and curiosity" as them.

Majors' career took a hit after the conviction, losing his talent manager, publicist, and roles in several projects, including "The Man in My Basement" and the upcoming Avengers films. Despite this, he maintains his innocence and wishes to continue playing Kang if given the opportunity.
