The Municipal Corporation, Rawalpindi Development Authority, District Council, Cantonment Board Rawalpindi, and the Department of Auqaf and Evacuee Trust Property have issued notices to immediately vacate 213 dilapidated multi-storey buildings deemed hazardous.
These buildings, many dating back to the British era, pose severe risks due to leaks during rains. Each building houses six to seven families, predominantly located in the old city areas, including, Lal Haveli, Moti Bazaar, Mughp Sarai, Banni Mohalla, Shah Chan Chiragh, Mohalla Naiyan, Akal Garh, Bagh Sardaran, Ganjmandi, Gowalmandi, Naya Mohalla, Bhabra Bazaar, and Ghazni Road.
