Pop-up of ‘The Bear’ restaurant debuts at San Diego Comic-Con
The FX show "The Bear" has launched a pop-up restaurant at San Diego Comic-Con, running from July 25 to July 28.
Among the activations at San Diego Comic-Con is a pop-up of "The Bear," the Emmy-winning FX show that provides an insider’s view of the culinary industry. This interactive experience, located on the lawn across from the Hilton Bayfront downtown, features the recreated interior of the show's namesake fine-dining restaurant. The pop-up operates alongside other FX show activations, such as "What We Do In the Shadows" and "American Horror Story."
The event runs from Thursday, July 25, to Sunday, July 28, with varying hours. Thursday’s hours are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free, but participants must be at least 18 years old.
Fans visiting the pop-up can expect exclusive merchandise giveaways that change daily. On Thursday, the giveaway item is a branded apron, presented in a unique fashion. Staff members present fans with a silver cloche, lifting the dome to reveal the day's special item. The pop-up is decorated with photos from the show, adding to the immersive experience.
Season 3 of "The Bear" premiered on Hulu in June, following characters Carmy, Sydney, and their team inside and outside the restaurant. The show's popularity has spurred this creative activation, giving fans a chance to engage with the series in a novel way.
