Kim Kardashian won't adhere to someone else's schedule.
She revealed this as the reason for ending her relationship with an unnamed ex on the season five finale of The Kardashians.
Following her sister Kourtney Kardashian's advice to seek therapy, Kim realized that her "fight-or-flight" personality impacts her love life.
"When someone tells me not to do something that I planned on, I physically get, like, ‘You’re getting in my way,'" she explained in the July 25 episode "'and I will bulldoze whatever is in my way because you’re not going to tell me to change my schedule.'"
"I feel like that’s how I would get in relationships,” the SKIMS mogul continued, before sharing how it played into a breakup with an ex, whose name was censored out on the show. “Like when [redacted] would tell me, 'You work so much, why don’t you just take a week off?' I’m like, ‘Get out of here!'"
Kim added that she initially refused to take the advice at the time, noting, "That was the beginning of the end."
Another realization Kim had during her therapy session? Her calm demeanor is actually a "trauma response" to the 2016 Paris robbery, where she was held at gunpoint while jewelry was stolen from her hotel room.
"I met with a therapist," she told sister Khloe Kardashian on the July 18 episode of The Kardashians, "and she was like, 'You think calm is your superpower. I think you are so desensitized to trauma that you are literally frozen in fight-or-flight.'"
In a confessional, Kim remarked that remaining calm during the robbery "served me well," but it also made her emotions more guarded in the future.
