Emmy-winning actor Colman Domingo has confirmed his return as Ali in the highly anticipated third season of HBO's hit series Euphoria. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Domingo revealed that filming for Season 3 will commence in early 2025.
This news comes after HBO officially announced the January 2025 production start date for Euphoria Season 3, with the main cast also set to return. Domingo's character, Ali, is a recovering drug addict who serves as a sponsor and mentor to Zendaya's troubled character, Rue.
During his talk show appearance, Domingo expressed hope that Season 3 would address the unresolved storyline between Rue and Laurie, a drug dealer played by Martha Kelly, involving a suitcase full of drugs. He praised Kelly's performance and called the storyline "incredible."
Euphoria, created by Sam Levinson, has garnered critical acclaim and a dedicated fan base since its premiere in 2019. The second season concluded in February 2022, leaving viewers eager for the next chapter in the lives of its complex characters.
With Domingo's confirmation and the promise of a new season on the horizon, Euphoria fans can anticipate more drama, raw emotion, and captivating storytelling when the series returns to HBO.
