'No man in my life': Sushmita Sen opens up about enjoying singlehood and past relationships
Actor and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen has recently shared insights into her personal life. Known for her roles in films like "Taali", Sen has often been open about her personal experiences, and this time was no different.
During an interview with Indian media, Sen discussed her current relationship status in detail. "As we sit here today, I have no man in my life. I have been single for a while now. Three years, to be precise. I am not even interested in anyone at the moment," Sen stated.
She expressed contentment with her single status, describing it as "a lovely time" and emphasising the benefits of taking a break from relationships.
Reflecting on her past, Sen mentioned her long-term relationship that lasted nearly five years, highlighting its duration and significance in her life. However, she now views relationships through a lens of self-protection and emotional investment rather than mere romance.
"At my age, it’s not about heartbreaks anymore. I invest in a relationship: love, care, energy. And because everyone is involved, I am hugely protected. If anything becomes toxic in that environment, I walk away faster than you can take my name, and I don’t miss it," she explained.
Sen also touched upon her relationships after her split from model Rohman Shawl in 2021. Although there were brief rumours about her dating businessman Lalit Modi, with both sharing affectionate pictures on social media, she clarified that this relationship "fizzled out in no time."
Despite their breakup, Shawl remains a significant part of Sen's life, maintaining an amicable bond with her. He continues to be present at various social gatherings with Sen, including a recent awards show they attended together.
Sen’s recent revelations on "Chapter 2" highlight her approach to relationships, focusing on self-love and emotional safety, setting an example of self-respect and maturity in personal life.
