Philadelphia woman arrested after shooting infant at point-blank range
A Philadelphia woman who allegedly walked up to and opened fire on a baby and his parents at point-blank range has been arrested. The suspect's identity will be disclosed once formal charges are filed, as reported by NBC10 Philadelphia.
A harrowing video captured the moment the gunwoman approached and fired at the seven-month-old infant and his parents outside a home. The black woman shouted, “F**k your baby, bi**h!” as the child's mother screamed in horror. The unidentified boy, sitting in a pushchair, was struck in the leg. Fortunately, he survived and is in good condition, authorities said.

The shooting occurred around 5:51 p.m. on Thursday in the city’s Holmesburg section.
“We’re very lucky that seven-month-old boy is in stable condition,” said Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small.
Police stated that the parents, who were uninjured, do not live in the area, and their reason for being there is unknown. Upon arrival, officers found the parents a few blocks away, after a Good Samaritan had taken the baby to the hospital.
Investigators secured two scenes: one on Meridian Street and another at 7700 Frankford Avenue, where they found two shell casings. A witness, who wished to remain anonymous, expressed deep concern, recalling his own experience as a gun violence victim. “It’s sad. I’m a parent myself and I wouldn’t know what to do if something like this happened to my kid,” he said.
