Clint Eastwood's longtime girlfriend, Christina Sandera, has died at the age of 61. The cause of death was not revealed, but Eastwood, 94, has released a statement to The Hollywood Reporter expressing his sadness and gratitude for the time they spent together.
Sandera and Eastwood had been together for more than a decade, meeting while she was a hostess at Eastwood's Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. The couple remained private about their relationship, but attended several Hollywood events together, including the 2015 Academy Awards.
Eastwood has been married twice before, to model Maggie Johnson and Dina Eastwood, with whom he has three children. He also has five other children from previous relationships.
In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Eastwood said, "Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much." His rep told the outlet that no additional details about Sandera's passing will be shared at this time.
