Shannon Beador has made it clear that she has no interest in competing with Alexis Bellino over her ex, John Janssen.

In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Beador, 60, discussed her reasons for not pursuing a friendship with Bellino.

“There were other reasons, John, aside, that I don’t want to pursue a friendship with [Alexis],” Beador stated. “There’s the clip of her going, ‘You’re not going to win my man’ or something. It’s like, I’m not in the competition. Enjoy!”

Beador and Janssen had an on-and-off relationship from 2019 to 2023, finally ending it in June 2023. Janssen and Bellino sparked romance rumors five months later and went public with their relationship in December 2023.

Beador recalled her last conversation with Janssen, where he accused her of ruining his life and family by being so public. “And six weeks later, he is doing Oscar parties and red carpet interviews. OK, Mr. Private,” she remarked.

The former couple attempted to reconnect for six months post-breakup but eventually parted ways for good.

“I am glad that we’re not together anymore and maybe something like this had to happen in order for me to break ties,” Beador said.

She also addressed her past legal issues with Bellino. Alexis' ex-husband, Jim Bellino, had filed a defamation lawsuit against Beador and Tamra Judge in 2018, which was later resolved.

Beador emphasized her desire to avoid further conflict with Alexis and Janssen, saying, “I don’t want any part of [their relationship] … and I wanted that to be clear.”

In addition to her reality TV drama, Beador faced personal legal troubles. She was arrested for a hit-and-run and DUI in September 2023 and subsequently sentenced to three years probation and a nine-month alcohol program.

Reflecting on the incident, Beador revealed, “I work with my therapist, and I have a psychiatrist from the program that I went to for 30 days. And I feel as though I’m growing. I’m headed down a healthier path, and I’m trying to create any type of positive thing that I can out of a horrible situation.”
