Severe storm and heavy rainfall in Charsadda led to roof and wall collapses, resulting in the deaths of two people and injuries to several others in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The storm in Shabqadar area caused the walls and roofs of several houses to collapse, leaving two people dead and 10 injured, according to hospital sources.
The deceased include a woman and a young man, with their bodies and the injured transported to Tehsil Head Quarter Hospital (THQ) hospital.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and sympathy for the victims of the storm-related incidents.
He extended wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured and directed the district administration to provide immediate medical aid and relief to the affected families.
The Chief Minister also announced financial assistance for the families of the deceased.

Previously, the Regional Meteorological Department on July 15 forecast new spell of rain starting from July 16 to 21 in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Rain was predicted in Dir, Chitral, Kohistan, Swat, Malakand, Bajaur, Shangla, Batagram, Buner, Kohat, Mohmand, DI Khan, Khyber, Haripur, Mansehra, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Bannu, Waziristan, Kurram, and others.
According to a notification issued by Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) stated that Regional Met Office Peshawar has informed that a new spell of rains is starting for which people are urged to take all precautionary measures to avoid any loss of life, damages to infrastructure, crops and animals.
All authorities concerned asked to take the safety measures. Tourists to be informed about weather forecast, ensure availability of all emergency services staff and machineries and other resources.
