Gypsy-Rose Blanchard, 32, celebrated a significant moment in her pregnancy journey by sharing a heartfelt video on Instagram.
Following her surprise pregnancy announcement on July 9, the Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up star posted a clip capturing the sound of her baby's heartbeat.
In the video, Blanchard, lying in bed, uses an at-home fetal doppler to amplify the distinct rhythm. "There it is!" she exclaims with a broad smile directed at the camera.
Accompanying the Instagram Reel, Blanchard encouraged her followers to participate in guessing the baby's gender, writing, "Hearing our baby’s heartbeat with a home doppler 💓 Leave your gender predictions on my poll 🥰."
Expected to give birth in January 2025, Blanchard expressed her unexpected joy about impending motherhood, stating, "This was not planned at all, it was completely unexpected, but we're both very excited to take on this new journey of parenthood," during her initial YouTube announcement.
Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE shortly after her pregnancy revelation, Blanchard disclosed details about her journey, including informing her parole officer immediately upon discovering her pregnancy.
Released from prison on December 28, she had served time for her role in her abusive mother's 2015 murder.
Blanchard's pregnancy marks a turning point following her turbulent past. Since her release, she has made notable life changes, including leaving her estranged husband, Ryan Anderson, and rekindling her relationship with Ken Urker, to whom she was previously engaged.
After finalizing her divorce from Anderson in April, Urker relocated from Texas to Louisiana to be closer to her.
