PM Shehbaz condemns loss of life in DI Khan, Muscat attacks
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday strongly condemned a terrorist attack on a rural health centre (RHC) in Dera Ismail Khan.
The PM expressed grief over the deaths of two children, two health workers, a guard, and security personnel including Naib Subedar Muhammad Farooq and Sepoy Muhammad Javed Iqbal, who embraced martyrdom while fighting the terrorists.
PM Shehbaz prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and extended his condolences to the bereaved families. He reiterated his resolve to eradicate terrorism from the country, emphasising that the people of Pakistan stood united with their armed forces in this mission.
He warned that those supporting terrorist elements would be brought to justice and that such cowardly acts would not weaken the nation's resolve.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also condemned the attack, praising the security forces for their bravery in killing the terrorists. He vowed to pursue the terrorists and ensure they face justice, stating that those who target innocent civilians would be brought to justice.

Meanwhile, PM Shehbaz also expressed grief over a terrorist attack on Imam Bargah Ali bin Abu Talib in Muscat, Oman, which resulted in the deaths of several individuals, including four Pakistani nationals.
In a statement on X, he conveyed his condolences to the victims' families and instructed the Pakistan Embassy in Muscat to provide all possible assistance to the injured and visit hospitals personally.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also expressed his condolences on the lives lost in the Muscat attack. He strongly condemned the terrorist attack during the holy month of Muharram-ul-Haram.
Additionally, National Assembly (NA) Speaker Ayaz Sadiq and Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani condemned the terrorist attack on Bannu Cantonment. NA speaker honoured the martyrs by expressing grief over the loss of eight brave soldiers and reiterating that their sacrifices would be remembered forever.
Senate chairman praised the effective response of law enforcement agencies and affirmed that terrorists would not be allowed to destroy the peace of Pakistan. Both leaders expressed solidarity with the families of the martyrs and reaffirmed their commitment to eradicating terrorism.
