QUETTA:

A Frontier Corps (FC) driver lost his life in a roadside explosion on Saturday in Quetta’s Akhtarabad area near the Northern bypass.

Muhammad Zeeshan, Edhi Foundation’s in-charge, told The Express Tribune that an FC vehicle was on a routine patrol when the explosion occurred, injuring the driver critically. He was rushed to the Bolan Medical Complex Hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Zeeshan, while quoting the Quetta police, said that the blast was caused by four kilograms of explosives.
A large number of police officers, bomb disposal squad members and FC quickly arrived at the scene.
