‘Measures adopted to prevent flooding’

Mayor Sukkur and spokesperson for the Sindh government, Barrister Arslan Sheikh said on Saturday that measures have been taken to prevent flooding in the face of heavy rains.

He said that the administration has been in touch with the irrigation department authorities, monitoring water flow in rivers, and adopting safety measures.

The irrigation department is being informed about the inflow and outflow of water at Sukkur and Guddu barrages. Sheikh had already directed that authorities need to be completely attentive for safety measures during heavy rains. He said that timely actions would be ensured for the protection of human lives.
