HYDERABAD:

Three young men who had gone to Thailand for pleasure trip were lured by an agent to Myanmar, where they were forced to work in a Chinese company. The families of the victims have alleged that they were kept in detention, their travel documents and mobile phones were taken away, and they were forced to sign employment contracts.

According to details, three friends, Kashif Hussain, Shehroz Khan, and Faraz Khan, from Phulleli, Halanaka, and Cloth Market areas of Hyderabad city, were tempted by the promise of employment in a Chinese company in Myanmar and were taken there illegally. The families of the victims have appealed to the authorities to take action to bring the youth back. Faraz Khan's sister and Kashif Hussain's father have said that the three friends had gone to Thailand on February 15 this year for a vacation, where they met a Pakistani who promised them employment in a Chinese company in Myanmar. They were taken to Myanmar, where they were forced to work in difficult conditions and also were subjected to mental and physical torture.

The families of the victims have alleged that the agent who took them to Myanmar had promised them a good salary and comfortable living, but instead, they were kept in detention and forced to work against their will.

Meanwhile, MQM-Pakistan MPA Rashid Khan has contacted the authorities in Myanmar and Thailand and has demanded action to rescue the Pakistani youth.
