Meta's WhatsApp is set to launch a new feature allowing users to forward messages and media within channels on iOS, following its initial announcement for Android users last week.
This update, part of the "WhatsApp for iOS 24.13.79" release, aims to streamline the sharing process on the platform.
According to WABetaInfo, the instant messaging app is testing this feature publicly. It allows channel owners to forward messages, photos, videos, and GIFs from any channel to their own with ease. Users can explore this by selecting their own channel in the forwarding picker screen when forwarding a message from another channel.
This feature aims to streamline the way information is shared across multiple channels, eliminating intermediary steps and improving efficiency.
Additionally, WhatsApp is working on various other updates to enhance user experience. The company is continually refining its features based on user feedback and beta testing results, ensuring that the app remains user-friendly and functional.
While this feature will be gradually rolled out, users are advised to regularly update WhatsApp from the App Store or the TestFlight app to ensure they receive the latest features and improvements.
