United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi on Sunday met with Afghan refugees in Peshawar as he began a three-day visit of Pakistan that would focus on the problems of Afghan refugees, a UNHCR spokesperson said.
Spokesperson Qaisar Afridi told a private news channel that Grandi met delegations of Afghan refugees who apprised him of their problems. “The UNHCR chief assured the Afghan refugees that he would discuss all issues of the refugees with Pakistani officials,” the spokesperson said.
