Fans are getting their initial glimpse of Vanessa Williams fully transformed into Miranda Priestly in a new social media promotion, kicking off the debut of the new musical adaptation of The Devil Wears Prada in London, England.

Preview performances for the production commence at the Theatre Royal Plymouth on Saturday, July 6, and will continue until August 17, before moving to the Dominion Theatre in London's West End for its official opening in October.

The promo boldly declares, “Miranda has arrived,” as the actress and singer is shown emerging dramatically from beneath the stage.

The lead actress in the new show, featuring music by Elton John, is dressed in a stunning red sequin gown paired with a matching duster jacket.

At first, she stands motionless, holding the jacket closed and wearing a serious Miranda expression, but as she ascends to the stage, she swiftly opens her coat to reveal the full striking ensemble.

The musical adaptation is derived from Lauren Weisberger's popular 2003 novel and the successful 2006 film, which earned $326.7 million globally against a budget of $35-41 million and garnered two Academy Award nominations.

Williams takes on the role of Miranda Priestly, the formidable editor-in-chief of the fictional fashion magazine Runway, famously portrayed by Meryl Streep in the film adaptation.
