Teenager drowns in local dam

A young fuel station worker drowned while taking a bath in a local dam in Tarbela Colony of Dhamiyal police station.

18-year-old Saifur Rehman was the only brother of two sisters and the sole breadwinner of the household. Rescue sources said that three friends were bathing in a local dam.

The water level was quite high due to the rain of the previous day. Rehman’s feet got stuck in the deep water stones while bathing in the water due to which he drowned.

Upon receiving information from the locals, Rescue 1122 diving teams reached the spot and recovered the body of the youth after searching for half an hour.
