Tom Cruise's absence from his daughter Suri's high school graduation has further fueled speculations about their strained relationship. The "Top Gun" star has reportedly "completely cut off" his 18-year-old daughter, whom he shares with ex-wife Katie Holmes.
According to a source speaking to In Touch Weekly, Cruise's unwavering devotion to Scientology is the primary reason behind this estrangement. Scientology expert Tony Ortega stated, "Tom has proven over and over again that his No. 1 loyalty is to [his religion] and David Miscavige."
Ortega further commented on Cruise's decision to distance himself from Suri, saying, "It became more and more obvious Tom had completely cut Suri out of his life. And frankly, Suri may be better off for it."
The insider revealed that Suri has dropped "Cruise" from her name on multiple occasions, including her graduation ceremony, and claimed, "for the last 11 years, Tom has chosen not to see Suri."
Notably, Cruise maintains contact with his two children, Bella and Connor, from his previous marriage to Nicole Kidman, who reportedly share his Scientology beliefs.
