Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has rebutted reports circulating in some sections of the media about filling of grade 1 to 16 seats in the public sector.
“The austerity committee constituted by the federal government is still reviewing the matter related to filling of the posts from grade 1 to 16,” said the minister in a news statement.
According to the minister, the federal cabinet had decided to limit monetary benefits for the government employees for attending the boards meetings to Rs 1 million per year.
Earlier, a significant amount of funds were allocated for the purpose, he added.
