Ryan Reynolds has revisited his doubts about reprising Deadpool amidst Disney's acquisition of Fox, revealing concerns about his superhero future.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Reynolds admitted uncertainty about continuing as Deadpool: "I didn’t know if I’d ever be playing Deadpool again." He expressed apprehension over Deadpool's fit in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

After Deadpool got the green light for MCU integration, several story ideas were floated. Reynolds disclosed one rejected concept: "a Rashomon story with three different points of view."

Another discarded idea for Deadpool 3 was an indie road trip comedy. Reynolds described it as a low-budget venture without special effects, focusing on banter and travel experiences with Karan Soni's Dopinder character. "It wasn’t meant to be an event movie," Reynolds noted. "Just a journey from Point A to Point B."

Ultimately, these concepts were shelved in favor of Deadpool teaming up with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine. The anticipated film, Deadpool & Wolverine, is set to premiere on July 26.
