Gracie Abrams shares Travis Kelce’s encouraging words before joining Taylor Swift on stage

Gracie praised Taylor Swift for creating a "community of really supportive people."

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was determined to ensure Gracie Abrams shone during her surprise appearance at Taylor Swift's June 23 concert in London, where they debuted their "Us" duet, even offering to dull his own presence.

"Before we both went on," Gracie told SiriusXM's The Morning Mash Up on July 2, explaining that Travis' surprise cameo was scheduled a few songs before her performance. "He’s like, 'I'll mess up so you look really good."

Gracie praised Taylor for creating a "community of really supportive people." Gracie, who opened for the Grammy winner's Eras Tour last year, added, "There is such deep joy and feeling associated with all of the music that she’s put out over the past 18 years and it’s a really magical thing."

In short, the day was a fairytale for both Gracie and Travis, who performed as one of Taylor's backup dancers, assisting her with her wardrobe in the Tortured Poets Department set of the show.

Taylor herself couldn't resist gushing over how the NFL star literally swept her off her feet.

"I'm still cracking up/swooning over @killatrav's Eras Tour debut," she wrote in a June 24 Instagram post. "Never going to forget these shows."

Most recently, Travis appeared to surprise Taylor at her Dublin show, causing the "Cruel Summer" artist to flash a big smile at the VIP tent.
