Rick Ross is recovering well after reportedly being attacked at a music festival in Canada over the weekend.

The alleged assault occurred following Ross's performance at the Ignite Music Festival in Vancouver on Sunday.

Video circulating on social media depicts a man resembling Ross engaged in a verbal altercation with a male attendee at the festival. The situation escalates when the man throws a punch towards Ross, leading to a brawl among onlookers.

In one video, a man is seen lying motionless on the ground after the altercation, indicating he may have been knocked unconscious during the brawl.

On Monday, Ross posted a photo on his Instagram Story showing him posing in front of a private jet. The "Champagne Moments" rapper did not reference the reported attack in the post, simply writing, "Vancouver it was fun, till next time."

How did Rick Ross respond to the Vancouver Ignite Music Festival assault?

Ross responded to the reported incident at the Ignite Music Festival in a statement to TMZ released on Monday.

According to the outlet, the rapper stated that no one on his team “suffered any serious injuries”after the incident. He also expressed, "Vancouver is a beautiful city, and (I) can't wait to go back."

Did Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us cause Rick Ross to be attacked at the Vancouver Ignite Music Festival?

According to TMZ, the altercation at the festival started after Ross finished his set with "Not Like Us," a diss track by Kendrick Lamar targeting Canadian rapper Drake. The song was reportedly playing in the background during the incident captured on video.

Released in May, “Not Like Us” is among the diss tracks in the ongoing rap feud between Lamar and Drake. In the song, Lamar appears to criticize some of Drake's public missteps, such as the removal of his AI-assisted track “Taylor Made (Freestyle)” and other allegations against the “Hotline Bling” artist.

Recently, Ross and Drake have exchanged musical jabs. Ross dropped the diss track "Champagne Moments" in April, to which Drake responded with "Push Ups" just days afterward.
