Environmental Protection Authority in the offing

RAWALPINDI:

The Punjab government has initiated the process of upgrading the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) with the deadline of August 14 this year.

As part of this transformation, new positions have been created and recruitment is underway.

Initially, Rs250 million have been earmarked for the authority. In a significant move, educated transgender persons are eligible to apply for roles such as Inspectors and Assistant Directors in the EPA. They also have been included in the recruitment list for all newly-created posts in the authority.

The Authority is set to recruit various positions through the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) including 32 Inspectors Legal, six Assistant Directors Legal, two Assistant Director Computers, two Assistant Director Budget, two Assistant Directors, one Deputy Director, two Assistant Directors Admin and two Assistant Directors Air Quality Monitoring.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates until July 11, and notably, all positions are open to candidates of all genders, including men, women, and transgenders.
