Taylor Swift dedicates Clara Bow to Stevie Nicks during Dublin Eras Tour show

“She's a hero of mine and also someone that I can tell her any secret and she'd never tell anybody,” Swift shared.

Taylor Swift spotted a familiar face in the Eras Tour crowd and thought it resembled Stevie Nicks — and it actually was her.

Swift, 34, dedicated and performed "Clara Bow" from her Tortured Poets Department album for the Fleetwood Mac icon during the surprise songs segment of her third Eras Tour concert in Dublin on Sunday, June 30.

In "Clara Bow," the 14-time Grammy winner references Nicks, 76, as an "It Girl" of her era, akin to Clara Bow in the 1920s: "You look like Stevie Nicks, in ’75, the hair and lips," Swift sang at Aviva Stadium. "Crowd goes wild at her fingertips, half moonshine, a full eclipse."

Before singing the song, Swift hinted at the surprise performance.

“She's a hero of mine and also someone that I can tell her any secret and she'd never tell anybody,” Swift said. “She's really helped me through so much over the years. I'm talking about Stevie Nicks.”

During her performance, Swift sang about how she "might die if I made it" big in Los Angeles, drawing a parallel to Nicks joining Fleetwood Mac in 1975.

Swift combined "Clara Bow" with "The Lucky One" from Red, and concluded her surprise set with "You're On Your Own, Kid" from Midnights, a song Nicks has said helped her cope with the loss of Fleetwood Mac member Christine McVie in November 2022.

Interestingly, Nicks wrote a poem in August 2023 that was included in the written prologue of The Tortured Poets Department album, highlighting the deep connection between Swift and Nicks beyond the mention in "Clara Bow."
