Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) President of the Islamabad region, Amir Mughal, on Sunday announced support for a strike by the All Pakistan Traders Association against the alarming increase in electricity prices.

He said that PTI workers will participate in the protest scheduled for 4 pm today (Monday) at Abpara Chowk.

Mughal emphasised that PTI stands united with the entire nation against the unjust budget, inflation, and staggering hikes in utility bills.

He further criticised the illegitimate government of Form 47 for attempting to inflict a public massacre through exorbitant electricity bills.

The PTI leader denounced the government formed through deception for its inability to comprehend public sentiments and emotions. PTI, in accordance with Imran Khan's ideology, will never retreat from its struggle for public rights, he added.

The protest is expected to draw attention to the plight of traders and citizens grappling with the economic burden imposed by recent policy decisions.
