India's thrilling victory over SA

Last night. India won the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup by defeating South Africa by 7 runs in a thrilling final at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.

Chasing 177 to win, South Africa were in control of the chase when they needed 71 runs off 45 balls with 6 wickets in hand.

However, India fought back with crucial wickets from Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah to turn the match in their favor.

Virat Kohli's 76-run knock off 59 balls was the backbone of India's innings, helping them post a competitive total. In the end, South Africa fell short by 7 runs, leaving them heartbroken in their quest for a maiden World Cup title.

This victory ended India's 13-year drought for an ICC trophy, with captain Rohit Sharma and veteran Kohli finally getting their hands on the coveted trophy.
