Kanye West sells Wyoming ranch after controversy
Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has sold his 4,524-acre ranch in Cody, Wyoming, known as Monster Lake Ranch.
According to the Daily Mail, the sale was confirmed by a listing on Hayden Outdoors, though the final sale price was not disclosed. Ye, who purchased the ranch in late 2019, had ambitious plans for the property, including building domes to address homelessness.
However, investment in the property’s upkeep ceased in recent years, and the ranch fell into disrepair following Ye's loss of several business deals due to anti-Semitic remarks in 2022.
The ranch, part of Ye’s 2022 divorce settlement with Kim Kardashian, includes six homes and seven outbuildings, featuring a total of seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms.
The property boasts a 100-acre lake, renowned for its world-class fishery due to consistent stocking and management, reports the Daily Mail.
Additional activities available on the ranch include guided fishing, pheasant and chukar hunting, horse riding trails, and geology and photography tours in the Rim Rocks.
The ranch is located approximately eight miles from downtown Cody and about 15 minutes from Yellowstone Regional Airport. Initially listed in October 2021, the ranch was removed from the market in August 2022 before finally being sold.
