Charles White, also known as penguinz0, addressed the recent allegations against Dr DisRespect, claiming the streamer was banned from Twitch in 2020 for allegedly sexting a minor using the platform’s whisper system and attempting to meet them at TwitchCon.

Despite the streamer’s public statements about suing Twitch, neither side has offered a clear explanation for the ban, leaving room for speculation. White mentioned that while some journalists supported the former employee’s claims, no proof has been shown publicly. Dr DisRespect responded to the allegations on Twitter, stating, “Jake, seriously I get it, it’s a Hot Topic but this has been settled. No wrongdoing was acknowledged, and they paid out the whole contract.”

White pointed out that this response did not directly deny the allegations, leaving many unsatisfied. Dr DisRespect later expanded on his initial denial, tweeting, “I didn’t do anything wrong. All this has been probed and settled. Nothing illegal, no wrongdoing was found, and I was paid.”

Commenting on the unusual nature of a permanent ban for a high-profile streamer, White said, “It’s important to mention just how uncommon it is for Twitch to permanently ban a streamer of any size.” As the streaming community waits for further clarification, the controversy surrounding Dr DisRespect remains unresolved.
