Vendors hike rates for barbecue material

Temporary meat grinders installed in streets to make mincemeat of sacrificial meat on the three days of Eid.

RAWALPINDI:

The prices of barbecue skewers, grills, ovens and coal have witnessed a significant increase ahead of Eidul Azha.

The vendors have set up temporary stalls in all streets and markets across the city to sell these three items, while temporary meat grinders have also been installed in each street to make mincemeat of the sacrificial meat on the three days of Eid.

Sellers have displayed Rs40 per kg rate for making mincemeat. Butchers have also provided the facility to make mince.

In the open market, barbecue skewers are being charged from Rs500 to Rs700 per dozen, small grills Rs350 and big grills Rs.500.
