Four men die in sewerage well

The funeral prayers were held for four men who died in sewerage well in village Chak 80 Sunday.

A large number of local dignitaries, including former MNA Tahir Iqbal Chaudhry, Rana Nadeem Akhtar, Chaudhry Hammad Raza Jatt Advocate, Chaudhry Salim Kamboh, and Nadeem Kayani, attended the funeral.

Additionally, Deputy Commissioner Syed Asif Hussain Shah and DPO Mansoor Aman expressed deep sorrow over the loss of these lives.

According to sources, Muhammad Nawaz Kamboh had constructed a well for his house's drainage. Muhammad Islam Padiyar, a resident of Chak No.80, descended into the well and lost consciousness due to poisonous gas.

To rescue him, the house owner Muhammad Nawaz, his relatives Muhammad Asghar, and Muhammad Mushtaq also descended into the well.

Tragically, they all lost their lives in the attempt. Rescue teams, along with some locals, retrieved the bodies and shifted them to the hospital.

The funeral prayers for the four deceased were performed, followed by their burial in the 80 WB cemetery.

Deputy Commissioner Vehari Syed Asif Hussain Shah and DPO Mansoor Aman visited the homes of the deceased, expressing their heartfelt sympathy and condolences.
