Miley Cyrus and her drummer boyfriend, Maxx Morando, enjoyed a date night in West Hollywood on Monday, June 10, and seemed to be in a positive mood, according to a source who spoke to PEOPLE.

"Max and Miley were on a date night eating sushi at Jinpachi in West Hollywood and were really cute. They seem happy together," an onlooker says.

The insider adds, "They were also friendly with everyone around them, talking to strangers about how good the food was and how it's one of their fave spots. She's just cool all around."

Back in February, a source informed PEOPLE that the couple is living together and Miley is "very happy with him."

“Miley has changed a lot in the past couple of years. She seems more calm and harmonious. Everyone loves Maxx," the source added. "He’s a great guy. She is very happy with him. He’s private and doesn’t like being in the press. It’s been good for her.”

Miley and Morando's relationship first made headlines in 2021 after they were seen holding hands backstage and enjoying music together at her NBC special, Miley’s New Year's Eve Party.

Since then, there have been few public sightings of them together — although she did give him a heartfelt shoutout when she won ‘Record of the Year’ for ‘Flowers’ at the 66th annual Grammy Awards in February.
