Newton previously portrayed Cassie Lang in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, continuing the legacy of the character introduced as the daughter of Scott Lang, also known as Ant-Man. The role has evolved over the years, with Cassie expected to play a more active part in upcoming MCU storylines.

Avengers: Doomsday will see Earth’s mightiest heroes facing a powerful new threat in Doctor Doom, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr.. The film is already generating significant buzz following footage revealed at CinemaCon 2026, which included a brief moment between Scott Lang and his daughter, hinting at their continued relationship on screen.

The ensemble cast is set to include major MCU figures such as Captain America, Thor, Black Panther, and Shang-Chi, alongside legacy characters like Professor X and Magneto. The film will be directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, known for helming previous MCU blockbusters.

Newton becomes the third actress to portray Cassie Lang, following earlier appearances by Abby Ryder Fortson and Emma Fuhrmann. Her return signals Marvel’s continued focus on expanding its next generation of heroes.

With a growing cast and high stakes, Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up to be one of Marvel’s most anticipated releases.
