KOT ADDU:

A woman was set on fire by her husband out of resentment for not having children in Basti Janun near Taunsa Morr.

Police said Aurangzeb Kumhar married Nagina Bibi from Kot Addu. Recently, a heated argument erupted between the couple over their inability to have children. During the argument, Aurangzeb, in a fit of rage, took petrol from a rickshaw, with the assistance of his father Siddique, and doused Nagina Bibi before setting her ablaze.

Nagina Bibi, in her statement, recounted the horrific events, stating, "My husband Aurangzeb got angry and took out petrol from the rickshaw with father-in-law Siddique to sprinkle it on me and then set me on fire."

After receiving first aid, Nagina Bibi was referred to Nishtar Hospital in Multan for further treatment.

SHO Saddar Zawar Hussain confirmed that a case is being registered based on the victim's statement, and an investigation is underway to uncover more facts.
