T.J. Holmes candidly revealed the dark times he faced during a pivotal moment in his career, coinciding with his GMA3 debut in September 2023. In a recent live episode of their podcast, Amy & T.J., Holmes shared his battle with alcohol, depression, and suicidal ideation.

The 46-year-old former GMA3 host described hitting rock bottom, finding himself sleeping on a park bench in Manhattan due to his mental state. However, Amy Robach, his co-anchor and now partner, recognized his struggles and offered unwavering support.

Holmes credited Robach with "literally saving his life" by introducing him to running and refusing to let him give up. He emphasised the significance of her friendship and belief in him during his darkest days.

Robach, 51, humbly acknowledged her role in Holmes' recovery, highlighting the deepening of their bond while co-anchoring GMA3. Their shared experiences, including long hours and post-work runs, solidified their friendship and ultimately blossomed into a romantic relationship.

The couple's relationship became public in November 2022, leading to their departure from GMA3 and the subsequent launch of their podcast. Amy & T.J. has since become a platform for the couple to discuss their relationship openly, address their challenges, and interview notable guests.

Despite the setbacks and public scrutiny, Robach and Holmes remain steadfast in their love for each other. They express gratitude for the unique connection they share, believing their relationship was worth the risks and challenges they encountered. The couple continues to explore their future together, discussing potential marriage and embracing the journey that brought them to this point.
