Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves McConaughey celebrated 12 years of marriage with a heartfelt, intimate moment.

On Sunday, June 9, Matthew shared an Instagram post, featuring a photo of him kissing Camila on the forehead, sporting a cowboy hat and jean jacket. The simple caption read, "Thank you," accompanied by the hashtag "#happyanniversary." Camila, a model and entrepreneur, later shared the post on her own Instagram page.

The couple first met in 2006 at a club, a moment Matthew described as love at first sight. "Out of the corner of my eye, this sort of aqua-green figure went floating across the frame about 20 feet in front of me," he recalled in a 2016 interview with PEOPLE. "My eye went up and I remember what came out of my mouth. I didn’t say, 'Who is that?' I went, 'What is that?'"

Matthew and Camila welcomed their first son, Levi, on July 7, 2008, and daughter Vida on January 3, 2010, before tying the knot in a three-day ceremony on June 9, 2012, at their Austin, Texas home. Reflecting on their wedding, Camila told PEOPLE, "[Our kids] seemed to understand what we were doing on a spiritual level."

The couple has since expanded their family with the addition of son Livingston and ventured into business together, launching their viral tequila brand Pantalones last year. As Matthew puts it, "We decided to embrace the ritual of marriage as an opportunity and adventure we'll take together."
